kyouyaki・kiyomizuyaki

Kyoto has been a leader in Japanese culture as the capital for many years. It is said that once upon a time in Kyoto, skilled potters from all over the country gathered to create ceramics in response to various requests from the people of the city, temples, and shrines, and to compete with each other to hone their skills.
Kyo-yaki and Kiyomizu-yaki are clearly different from pottery produced in any other region in Japan in that they are not characterized by soil or manufacturing methods specific to the production region.
In other words, it can be said that Kyoto ware and Kiyomizu ware are not bound by fixed materials, molds, or manufacturing methods, and each maker puts their various thoughts into making them, and they have a very strong message.
Kyo ware and Kiyomizu ware, which are said to have continued to evolve for over 400 years, spreading in the background of the popularity of the tea ceremony in the Muromachi period, are the crystallization of Japanese culture that has refined the sensibility and aesthetics of the Japanese people to the utmost limit.
