1937 Born in Sapporo, Hokkaido
1963 Quits his previous job as an illustrator and learns dyeing at Chikuho-gama in Seto (Aichi Prefecture). Furthermore, he started his career as a ceramic artist at Hirayama Kiln in Toki (Gifu Prefecture).
1967 Moved to Kanomatsutani Kiln in Gojo, Kyoto, where he learned potter’s wheel molding techniques.
1974 Traveled to Europe alone to study western pottery. He traveled to Western countries such as France, Spain, and Turkey to learn the basics of his current works.
1980 Traveled to Europe again. After returning to Japan from Delft in the Netherlands, he created his own ceramic panel paintings using Koshin glaze, and since then he has continued his research until the present day.
