1978 Graduated from Kyoto City University of Arts, Department of Ceramics

1993 Selected for the Japan Traditional Art Crafts Exhibition for the first time. Selected 19 times since then.

1994 Received an honorable mention award at the Izushi Porcelain Triennale

1997 Received the Excellence Award at the Kyoto Arts and Crafts Exhibition

1998 Received the Kyoto Governor’s Award at the “Kyoto Craft Artists Association Exhibition”

1999 Received the Sometsuke Encouragement Award at the Seto Sometsuke Exhibition

2003 Received the Japan Mint Award at the Osaka Crafts Exhibition

2004 Received the Kuroiwa Award at the Osaka Crafts Exhibition

2005 Sent to the United States as an overseas research student by the Agency for Cultural Affairs

2006 Produced in Canberra, Australia to commemorate the Japan-Australia Exchange Year

2007 Invited to submit to Kyoto Craft Biennale

2013 Solo exhibition held at the invitation of the Australian Watson Ceramic Society (Watson Gallery)

2014 Works exhibited at the “Japan Traditional Art Crafts Exhibition” are purchased by the Imperial Household Agency

2015 Submitted to Rimpa 400th Anniversary Commemoration “Beauty of Rimpa Living in Kyoto” sponsored by Kyoto Prefecture
