1951 Born in Kiyomizu, Kyoto as the eldest son of Toya II
1965 – 10 years, training at Gojozaka Kyodo Kiln (climbing kiln)
1985 Constructed the Garyu kiln (climbing kiln) in Mizuho, Kyoto
1995 Succeeded the name of Touya III
2004 Built a Garyu kiln (climbing kiln, hole kiln) in Kiyota, Hino-cho, Shiga Prefecture
